Magnolica Curlicue Landscape.jpg

Small batch. Big taste. Naturally baked.

Serving up hand-made pastries and bakes, created by acclaimed baker, Janine Edwards, working alongside Chantelle, Baked by Cordia has flavour and nature at its heart, working with like-minded producers, with a focus on whole foods such as consciously grown wheat from Bruern Farm & Stoates Farm, High Weald Dairy’s cheese, and fruit and vegetables from Shrub Provisions. It's a destination for locals, garden visitors, and those further afield, and all with seasonality and taste at the fore.

The signature ‘curlicue’, will also be debuting. Coiled like a fern - the curlicue is an enriched dough bake, topped with delicious flavours. To begin, these will hero the tree of the season - magnolia, with cinnamon. Sweet bakes will also feature, including the much-loved apple and ginger cake, as well as winwin choc and brown butter cookies.

A selection of focaccia sandwiches, brimming with local produce, including Sussex produce and salad greens from Borde Hill Market Garden, located just across the road, will also be available. And, some incredibly tasty bacon baps feature in the mornings, alongside organic High Weald Cheddar and wild garlic scones.

Ginkgo, our sunshine-hued coffee shop welcomes one and all (our canine friends included), offering a warm, indoor space to enjoy our offer. Outdoor seating is available, so you can enjoy your coffee, or glass of wine, in the sunshine.

Gloriette, our outdoor summer-house café in the garden, welcomes members and visitors alike. With outside seating, immersed in the heart of the Garden, it will be the perfect place to relax during a visit to enjoy the beauty of Borde Hill Gardens, or simply to pause in the sunshine. Perhaps with a wine in hand, or a local lager or cider.

Both locations offer the perfect place to unwind, and enjoy hand-crafted drinks, snacks and baked delights.

We can't wait to welcome you on the first step of our exciting journey.
